Pride of Portsmouth - Meet the Artists

Commissioned by Portsmouth City Council as part of the Pride of Portsmouth art trail, this documentary-style film explores the artists behind the sculptures that transformed the city.

Filmed in studios and workshops across the South Coast, the project follows each artist as they develop their work, sharing the stories, inspirations, and personal connections to Portsmouth that shaped their designs. Through interviews and observational filmmaking, the film captures the creative process as much as the finished sculptures.

Port of Call Media took a story-led approach to the production, creating space for each artist to reflect on the city's history, heritage, and culture, and how those themes found their way into the work.

Created as part of the wider marketing campaign for the Pride of Portsmouth trail, the film encourages audiences to engage more deeply with the sculptures and the stories they represent.
